She is also adorned in a unique, triangular and intricately carved headgear called Mukut made of Shola (a milky white sponge). Through centuries, the traditional Bengali bride wears a typical red (or any other auspicious color) authentic Banarasi sari and a Red Cheli (Veil) for her wedding day.
